What This Module Does

The Dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in. It aggregates live data from across your entire operation into a single view: shipments in transit, exceptions, returns, late deliveries, revenue, active customers, and more. Two distinct dashboard variants are provided depending on the logged-in user's role — a full-featured Logistics Dashboard for administrators and employees, and a focused Driver Dashboard for delivery drivers.

Data refreshes automatically so you always see the latest numbers without manual action. KPI delta indicators compare the current period against the previous week, giving you instant trend awareness.

Who Uses It

Where to Find It

The Dashboard loads automatically after login. You can return to it at any time from the main sidebar menu by clicking Dashboard (the first item). No special permissions are required — every authenticated user has access to their appropriate dashboard variant.

Screen Walkthrough: Logistics Dashboard

The Logistics Dashboard is displayed for users with the Admin or Employee role. It is organized into the following sections from top to bottom:

1. KPI Status Cards

Four status cards appear at the top of the page, each showing a count and a week-over-week percentage delta arrow (green for improvement, red for decline):

CardDescriptionDelta Comparison
In TransitShipments currently moving through the networkvs. same count one week ago
ExceptionsShipments with delivery problems requiring attentionvs. same count one week ago
ReturnsShipments returned to sender or warehousevs. same count one week ago
LateShipments past their estimated delivery datevs. same count one week ago

2. Activity Summary

Five metric cards sit below the KPI row, providing a snapshot of today's activity:

MetricDescription
New Shipments TodayTotal shipments created since midnight
Pre-AlertsIncoming pre-alert notifications from customers or integrations
PickupsPickup requests scheduled or completed today
RevenueSum of paid invoices for the current day
Active CustomersDistinct customers with at least one active shipment

3. Returns KPI Row

A dedicated row of cards focused on return metrics: total returns this period, return rate percentage, average return processing time, and top return reasons. This section helps you monitor reverse logistics performance at a glance.

4. Operations Overview Chart

A visual chart showing the distribution of shipments across operational statuses (pending, in transit, out for delivery, delivered, exception, on hold). Use this to quickly spot bottlenecks — for example, a large "exception" segment signals problems that need attention.

5. Shipment Statistics Chart

A bar/line combination chart showing shipment volume by month. Bars represent total shipments created; the line overlay shows delivered shipments. This chart reveals seasonal trends, growth patterns, and delivery completion rates over time.

6. Recent Shipments Table

A paginated table showing the most recently created or updated shipments. Columns include tracking number, sender, receiver, status (color-coded badge), service type, and creation date. Click any row to open the shipment detail view.

Screen Walkthrough: Driver Dashboard

When a user with the Driver role logs in, they see a simplified dashboard tailored to their daily delivery workflow.

GPS Status Indicator

A prominent indicator at the top of the driver dashboard shows whether GPS tracking is active. A green dot means the browser is sending location updates; a red dot means location sharing is disabled or unavailable. Drivers should ensure GPS is enabled for dispatch tracking to work.

Stats Cards

CardDescription
PendingShipments assigned to this driver that have not yet been picked up or delivered
Delivered TodayShipments this driver marked as delivered today
Delivered This WeekCumulative deliveries for the current week
Delivered This MonthCumulative deliveries for the current month
PickupsPickup requests assigned to this driver

Assigned Shipments List

A list of all shipments currently assigned to this driver, showing tracking number, receiver name, destination address, and current status. Drivers can update the status of each shipment directly from this list (e.g., mark as picked up, in transit, delivered, or exception).

Assigned Pickups List

A separate list showing pickup requests assigned to this driver, including the sender's name, address, scheduled time, and package details.

Download Manifest Button

A button to download a PDF manifest containing all currently assigned shipments and pickups. Drivers can print this for a physical reference during their route.

Setup Checklist Card

New accounts see a setup checklist card on the dashboard with the heading "Complete your setup to start using Deprixa Plus." This card guides new users through 10 onboarding steps, each with a completion checkmark:

  1. Complete company profile
  2. Upload company logo
  3. Configure branches
  4. Set up service types
  5. Create rate cards
  6. Add employees and assign roles
  7. Add drivers
  8. Configure payment methods
  9. Set up email notifications
  10. Create your first shipment

As each step is completed, the checkmark turns green and the progress bar advances. Once all 10 steps are done, the checklist card disappears automatically and will not appear again.

Step-by-Step: Daily Dashboard Review

Follow this routine each morning to get a complete operational picture:

  1. 1

    Check KPI Cards

Scan the four status cards at the top. Focus on Exceptions and Late counts — if either has increased compared to last week (red delta arrow), investigate immediately.

  2. 2

    Review Activity Summary

Check "New Shipments Today" and "Pickups" to gauge the day's workload. Compare "Revenue" to your daily target.

  3. 3

    Analyze Operations Overview

Look at the status distribution chart. A healthy operation shows most shipments in "delivered" or "in transit" with minimal exceptions. A large "pending" segment may indicate a dispatch bottleneck.

  4. 4

    Scan Recent Shipments

Review the recent shipments table for any entries with exception or on-hold status. Click through to resolve any that require action.

  5. 5

    Check Monthly Trends

Glance at the Shipment Statistics chart to confirm volume is tracking with expectations for the month. A sudden dip may signal a data entry issue or operational problem.

Tips and Best Practices

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
KPI cards show zero No shipments exist for the current period, or no branch is configured Create a test shipment or verify branch setup in Settings
Charts are empty No data for the selected date range Expand the date range or verify that shipments have been created
Driver dashboard shows no GPS indicator Browser location permissions are denied Enable location access in the browser settings and reload the page
Setup checklist does not disappear One or more onboarding steps are still incomplete Click through each step to verify completion; check for steps that require additional configuration (e.g., payment methods)
Revenue shows zero despite paid invoices Invoices may be in "draft" or "sent" status but not yet marked as "paid" Update invoice statuses in the Invoicing module
Delta arrows all show 0% The system has less than one week of data for comparison Wait until at least 7 days of data exist for meaningful comparisons
